Capital Campaign

We’re excited to share that planning is underway for the future of Armstrong’s playground and fields—and we need your input!
As we dream big about enhancing these spaces, your feedback will play an important role in shaping what comes next. In partnership with the Armstrong PTA, HPISD, the Town of Highland Park, and our incredible community, we’re working to create spaces that are inspiring, safe, educational, and fun for our students, staff, and families.

Why Your Voice Matters:
Here are a few helpful facts as you consider your feedback:
-
Spring 2025 Armstrong Parent Survey reported 77% of participants wanted a new playground
-
Armstrong is the only elementary school in the district with just one playground and all grass fields
-
Each elementary school in HPISD has privately funded their playgrounds and turf
-
Armstrong’s small field has the same footprint as other schools’ playgrounds and sport courts
-
The 2024 Bond funds allocated to Armstrong’s exterior improvements are designated for updates to the current playground and court resurfacing (approximately 13% of the total exterior budget)
Your perspective will help guide priorities as we explore opportunities to improve and reimagine these important spaces for our community.
